Interns are the backbone!
Our internship program is the backbone of our organization. Volunteers provide the necessary supervision and protection to allow our students to thrive. The kids are absolutely thrilled by the presence of interns. They eagerly await their arrival, compete to sit next to them, and feel genuinely sad when their favorite volunteers are absent. When asked about their favorite teacher, the kids often name interns instead of regular staff, showcasing the profound impact these volunteers have on their lives!
Make a Difference + Advocate for Change
Volunteering with us is not only beneficial for the children but also for our volunteers. Helping others is one of the most effective ways to boost contentment in our own lives. Committing just three hours once a week can make a significant difference in the lives of these kids and provide volunteers with new perspectives on different neighborhoods and communities. Volunteers often become more invested in the issues facing the neighborhood, advocating for changes they might not have considered before.
